Dimraeth Beginner Guide: First Character, Starting Build & Tips
Start Dimraeth with a coherent archetype, balanced five-spell build, safe expedition loop and the right co-op host-world plan.
Your safest first steps are to select a race-and-class pairing for its playstyle, build a balanced five-spell bar, treat stamina as a commitment meter, and decide whose world will hold your group's story and stronghold.
1. Choose an archetype, not two isolated labels
Every character combines one of eight advertised races with one of six classes. The resulting archetype has its own skill tree and playstyle. When the character screen opens:
- Pick the combat role you want to perform most often.
- Read the pairing's skill tree and passive before committing attributes.
- Use attributes to support both archetype scaling and the requirements of universal spells you want to equip.
The full launch roster is not publicly named, so use the descriptions in the game rather than an old Demo tier list.
2. Give each of your five spell slots a job
You can equip five spells at a time. A practical starting loadout covers:
- one dependable attack;
- one defensive or escape option;
- one control, interruption, or space-making tool;
- one answer for groups or range;
- one flexible slot for a boss, support, or utility spell.
Race and class provide their own skills. Crafted spellbooks can grant universal magic when you meet the attribute requirement, and boss-derived spellbooks add another acquisition route.
3. Run the expedition loop
Explore, fight, collect loot and raw materials, then return home before extending too far. At the stronghold, craft equipment, brew potions, cook meals, improve allies' facilities, and place production buildings such as farms or quarries. Those upgrades prepare the next expedition.
4. Decide where the group lives
In co-op, character level, equipment, inventory, spells, and personal progression travel between worlds. Story progress, recruited allies, and buildings remain with the world. Choose a regular host if your group wants one shared story and base; guests keep their heroes but do not carry the host's world forward.
